The professional quantity surveying practice of WT Partnership-Guernsey Limited has been in business for 50 golden years, originally formed on 1st February 1965 as a partnership using the name Wakeman Trower Scobbie & Partners when Steve Scobbie entered into partnership with the then Wakeman Trower & Partners.
Early projects that were carried out included numerous office developments at the bottom of the Pollet, a number of houses within Fort George and the Duke of Richmond Hotel.
Ken Morrison joined the practice as a senior surveyor in March 1979 and he was made the Guernsey partner in 1980. The company continued under the name of Wakeman Trower Scobbie & Partners until 1st January 2000 when the name was changed to WT Partnership-Guernsey to more clearly emphasise the relationship to the UK and International Group that had changed its name to WT Partnership sometime previously.
WT Partnership-Guernsey Limited is a Guernsey registered company in association with WT Partnership International and is the largest and longest established Chartered Quantity Surveying practice in Guernsey. All of our staff are legally resident in Guernsey and are solely employed on projects within the Channel Islands. We are therefore able to provide the full range of Quantity Surveying and other related services for any type and size of project. Having this number of staff permanently resident in Guernsey means that the office has the staff available to deal with problems, or visit a project, at short notice and are able to constantly co-ordinate their works with the local and U.K. Consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
Over the past fifty years the practice has been involved in many prestigious projects varying from small extensions to local market houses to multi million pound commercial developments including all of Admiral Park that incorporates Trafalgar Court, B&Q, the supermarket now occupied by Waitrose and the offices and residential developments fronting onto Les Banques. We are also extremely proud to have been involved with a number of very worthwhile projects including Les Bourgs Hospice, Maison de Quetteville, Le Platon Home and the community centres in St. Martins, Capelles and Cobo. We have also been involved with projects on Alderney, Sark, Herm, Brecqhou and Jethou.
We are very pleased and proud with the number of repeat appointments that we receive, which we believe demonstrates the quality of the services that we provide and the confidence that our Clients have in us.
In addition, two projects on which WT Partnership-Guernsey were appointed as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor received Civic Trust Awards (The Garenne Stand at Footes Lane and Generali House in St. Peter Port).
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has worked with us and who have made these 50 years a success. We are looking forward to the next 50!
